Whether you want to call it “old money”, posh, equestrian or preppy, this ensemble is just so timelessly chic. This look works because there are no more than three neutral colors, yet we’re playing with textures and patterns. There is a lot going on, so let’s unpack this outfit. First of all, you can match one of your trusted capsule wardrobe pieces – a white turtleneck – with a beige/khaki plaid blazer in a Burberry style. Of course wool is warmer. Tuck some khaki fitted trousers into brown riding boots (capsule piece) and you could theoretically stop the equestrian look right there. However, if it’s cold outside, then you can include a gray wool coat and matching beret – two more capsule items. Add a brown faux fur scarf and crocodile structured bag to further elevate the look and tie in the boots. Finally, khaki gloves in the same color of the pants complete the look. Matching brown hair and eyes are optional. ????
It is never too early or late to get excited about which classy fall outfits you plan on wearing during this ‘beautifall’ season (pun intended). This is a roundup of all of the autumn looks that I have created so far. However, there will be many more to come as I continuously update this post over the years. I hope that is blog post inspires you about what you can wear no matter if you’re frolicking through the autumnal foliage or going to a cozy cafe. Enjoy the fall colors!
The combination of red and leopard print is a classic and one of my favorites. This look is especially feminine with a red wrap blouse (Click for links!)
